(Posted November 2009)The Arkansas Science & Technology Authority has awarded 151 Minigrants to Middle School Science Classrooms across the state. Funded by the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation, these $500 awards are used to purchase consumable materials for inquiry-based hands on science activities.

(Posted March 2009) As part of the educational outreach efforts of the Arkansas EPSCoR program, STEM grants funded by the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation, totaling $141,000, were awarded to Arkansas educators.  On March 20, 2009, the Arkansas Science & Technology Authority Board of Directors approved proposals for 8 professional development programs for middle and high school teachers, for technology and equipment for 25 classroom projects, and for a summer academy for high school students.  A list of funded proposals is available at: http://www.asta.arkansas.gov/educators_stem_program.html
